The dull colors

Watching without seeing

Wearing glasses

While the world is turning into a blur.

Getting older

The colors fade away

Letters turn to lines without meaning

Life becomes a challenge

Eyes wide shut. Drops numb the feeling.

Looking at lights that image nothing

Under the skilled hands of the doctor

Scalpels replaced by lasers, bleeding no more.

Old, worn, cloudy lenses turned into a gel

Sucked out, replaced by a more expensive alter

Yet do not despair

Seeing the colors of the world is the prize of the repair.
